In a world where approval is often the currency of worth, many people fall into the trap of seeking validation from others. But true self-validation comes from knowing who you are in Christ. This kind of confidence is unshakable, because it’s not dependent on people’s opinions — it’s rooted in God’s truth.
When we measure our worth by how others view us, we become slaves to their approval. The Bible warns us about the instability of this path:
“It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.” — Psalm 118:8 (NKJV)
External validation is temporary; God’s affirmation is eternal.
Self-validation is not about ignoring feedback or living in arrogance. It’s about holding your identity against the mirror of God’s Word instead of the shifting opinions of people.
“But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people…” — 1 Peter 2:9 (NKJV)
When you remind yourself of this truth, you realize you’re already approved by the highest authority.
When you validate yourself based on God’s truth, you stop being paralyzed by rejection. You can stand firm in your purpose and make decisions confidently.

“For do I now persuade men, or God? Or do I seek to please men? For if I still pleased men, I would not be a bondservant of Christ.” — Galatians 1:10 (NKJV)
